Hi, my name is Juancarlos Santisteban. My motto for counseling is, " When you can't look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark." Whatever you are experiencing, I promise you I will do my best to sit with you in distress and to help you through. You are not alone and things will not stay dark forever! I will listen to you, and check in frequently to make sure I understand your story. I promise to support you and help you clarify what it is you want for yourself. You deserve compassion and empathy. I am dedicated to provide you with a relationship that feels human, equal and safe.
I am trained as a Couples and Family counselor and am specialized in trauma focused therapy. I feel confident working with individuals, couples, families, and teenagers 13 years and older. I am bicultural and bilingual (fluent in Spanish).
With your invitation to be part of your journey, I promise to be open and learn from you. I will lean into the journey and allow myself to be changed by the time we spend together.
